Bulk Material Pulley Assemblies

Due to the size of these pulleys and components many times the pulley will be sent from the factory pre-assembled with the pulley mounted on the shaft and bearings locked on the shaft. For the convenience of the customer this assembly can then be lifted directly into position on the conveyor and bolted in place, saving time and labor. Many times this is part of the pulley, shaft, bearing, and drive assembly being properly engineered for the system.

Conveyor Rollers

One of the most common yet undervalued components in conveying systems. Whether powered externally or through gravity, rollers move product through the system. The key to roller service is the quality of the bearings and the lengths taken to protect them. Whether the issue is noise, drag, energy use, life span, CBT has rollers to address those needs.

Heavy Duty Pulleys

Drum and wing pulleys designed for heavy duty applications. Available in standard, heavy, mine, and quarry duty. These may have vulcanized or welded on rubber lagging with a machined texture, pattern, or finish. Pulleys of this type are selected based on the requirements of the application, so be prepared to share what it needs to do so we can provide the best possible pulley.

Magnetic Pulleys

In many sortation systems it is common to have a pulley with magnets built into a pulley to separate metal from the process by holding it on the belt as material falls off the end of the conveyor. CBT can assist with the magnetic pulleys.

Motorized Pulleys

Also known as a drum motor, this unit has all of the mechanical mechanism inside the pulley, which produces a very compact and sanitary drive package. Adaptable not only for flat belt, but modular belts and the newer positive drive thermoplastic belts, motorized pulleys are being used daily to solve problems in food processing.

Pulley Lagging and Materials

CBT can provide the service of applying or reapplying rubber coverings to conveyor pulleys (known as lagging). This can be as simple as a spiral lagging using a conveyor belt material, usually a roughtop style, or as complicated as a vulcanized rubber surface with special machined grooves.

For our more industrious customers we can also supply lagging materials such as conveyor belt stripped to a narrow width for spiraling, one ply materials manufactured as lagging, or heavy duty metal backed rubber weld on materials, depending on your needs.

Recoating of Process Rolls

Through a partnership with Pinnacle Roller, CBT is able to provide a service of recoating process rolls. Common but not exclusive to printing and labeling, rubber covered rolls are used until the surface is no longer serviceable. Rather than purchase new rolls we can have the roll stripped, recoated, and refinished to original specifications and ready to return to service. With full machining capabilities any damaged rolls can be repaired and any special surfaces can be replicated.

Roll Cover Materials

Materials used to cover conveyor rolls to provide product protection to prevent damage.

Troughing Idlers & Carrying Rollers

Complete line of troughing, carry, and return idlers for black rubber belts in ratings from CEMA B to CEMA D. Specialty types for picking, training, impact, tracking are readily available as are brackets and accessories.

Unit Handling Pulleys

Drum style pulleys for standard conveyors. These are available with shafts welded in place, with hubs bored to size and keyed, or with hubs to accept bushings. Pulleys can be flat face, center crowned, or trapezoidal crowned and can be covered (lagged) with a variety of materials, either smooth or textured.
