Belts with Coverings & Profiles

Standard belt materials can be enhanced to provide specialized performance by laminating extra cover materials to the surface and possibly machining profiles into these covers. These belts are used in bottling, packaging, labeling, carton feeding, extruding, printing, and warehousing to name a few. The extra covers provide extra grip, cushioning, compression and marring protection, all of which can be essential to handling a product.

Box Folding Rail Belts

CBT offers a full range of belts for folding rails ranging from a basic blue carboxylated roughtop to the exotix red linatrile with monofilament base and staggered vacuum holes supplemented with offset countersunk areas in the cover. We carry newer generation materials that resist glossing from board dust and inks and provide the same grip from new through the entire wear life.

Filtering Belts

In applications where products are being drained or fluids are being removed, a filtering belt is a vital part of the system. Stout enough to support the product, porous enough to allow for drainage, stable enough not to be affected by the environment, and resistant to build-up and impacting are just some of the features these belts provide.

Leather Belts

Pure tanned cowhide product for power transmission belts. For many older machine tools leather belts still provide the best service.

Link Style Belts

Open style replacement belts for classic v-belts. Capable of being installed in drives without complete disassembly. The urethane / polyester construction combined with link style vibration absorption can provide extended life in many applications. This style has also been adapted into multiple versions for use in many conveying applications with special covers and coatings.

Power Curve Belts

Custom fit arced conveyor belts for replacement on OEM powerturn conveyors. These are available with grommets, rings, chain edge, and thermoplastic reinforced edges as determined by each of the OEMS.

Round and V Urethane Belts

Orange, yellow, green, red, blue, clear. Solid, hollow, fabric reinforced, steel reinforced, smooth surface, tacky surface, rough surface. 75 durometer, 83 durometer, 90 durometer. 1/8"-3/4", 3mm - 12 mm, 3L-C, single, twin, and double. And that's just what we keep on the shelf!

Seamless Flat Drive Belts

Mandrelly produced continuous flat belts woven without a seam. These are ideal for use on precision equipment where even the slightest vibration could cause product defects.

Teflon & Silicone Coated Belts

High temperature belts with non-stick coatings for use is shrink tunnels and curing processes where stability and release is critical. Able to operate to temperatures in excess of 450 Degrees F with no deformity. Teflon coatings are inert to many glues and product outgassing.

Tube Winder Belts

Belts specifically designed to handle the twists and turns required in manufacturing cardboard tubes.

Urethane Timing Belts

From the original rubber positive drive belts came a similar version in urethane. Urethane timing belts are available in standard imperial pitches, XL, L, H, XH, metric pitches, T2.5, T5, T10, T20, plus the following options: AT%, AT10, AT20, STD5 STD8, HTD5, HTD8, HTD14, GT3.

There are 2 basic reinforcement members for urethane belts, steel and Kevlar. Belts can be supplied wound endless or spliced endless, with different strength ratings applying to each style. Urethane belts are used for linear positioning as they can be more precise than rubber belts.
