Nexen® gear coupling adapters allow the use of standard gear coupling half's from a number of suppliers to facilitate shaft to shaft connections with TL Series torque limiters. If misalignment needs are greater than the 3/4 deg the gear couplings allow see Nexen® single or double flex couplings that allow 1.5 deg and 3 deg respectively. Gear coupling suppliers include Dodge®, FALK®, Koppers, Philadelphia, Zurn® and possibly others. Stated maximum coupling shaft sizes are considered typical with a square key but can vary with coupling manufacturer and the use of non-standard keys.
