CBT Gives Back: Hoxworth Blood Drive

Every three seconds, someone needs blood. Locally, 350 blood donors and 40 platelet donors are needed every day to help save the lives of people in our community. In light of the tri-state’s shortage of blood, CBT employees rolled up their sleeves to help community members in need. Hoxworth Blood Center depends on donations from local businesses and community members to make a difference in the lives of patients in tri-state hospitals. Together, Hoxworth and CBT are helping our family, friends, and neighbors. Hoxworth’s Blood Mobile traveled to CBT’s Cincinnati location last week for our annual blood drive. This year, 25 employees successfully donated blood and saved 75 lives! The blood collected at the drive will go to help patients at more than 30 hospitals spread across 17 tri-state counties. Annually, Hoxworth collects more than 80,000 units of blood from local donors to help save the lives of patients in area hospitals.
