Engineers Week 2019

Every February CBT joins countless workplaces and educational institutions in celebrating National Engineers Week. This unique, week-long event recognizes all that engineers do for the global economy. Due to their hard work and dedication, our world and our businesses are able to thrive. Without their consistent effort to improve and innovate the manufacturing processes, we wouldn’t be living in the world as we know it today.

“As engineers, we are going to be in a position to change the world – not just study it.” Henry Petroski, American Engineer

Industrial Engineering

CBT employees and partners with industry-leading industrial engineers responsible for analyzing and improving products, processes, and solutions. The importance of engineers cannot be stressed enough. As the US economy and workplace evolves, the need for industrial engineers continues to increase. While not always a glamorous job, industrial engineering is rewarding in that these engineers are influencing and bettering products used by consumers across the nation on a daily basis. Industrial engineers impact production, packaging, and distribution of anything from household goods, such as shampoo or water bottles, to aerospace engines and PLC controllers.

Start Your Career in Engineering

CBT has provided an abundance of information as to why you may love a career in engineering, what manufacturing engineers actually do, and provide a closer look into the lives of CBT engineers David Jennings, Paul Mikovich, and Joe Hauser. If you’re considering a career in engineering check out the leading engineering schools in the tri-state area. You can also take this fun, not-at-all scientific, quiz from Buzzfeed to help you determine what type of engineer you should be.
