TUESDAY, AUGUST 30TH EVENT SCHEDULE

INDUSTRY-LEADING SPEAKERS & INFLUENCERS IN MANUFACTURING

Engage with trailblazing individuals in the industry throughout Day 1. Keynote speakers and panel discussions will be led by inspiring leaders, and focus on how they are transforming and innovating.
9:00AM – 9:30AM: MORNING KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Jake Hall – The Manufacturing Millennial
“How to Attract the Next Work Force Through Automation & Digital Solutions”
  • With the silver tsunami of thousands of Boomers retiring from the manufacturing workforce and the lack of future younger generations entering manufacturing, companies are scrambling to fill production demands, keep equipment running, and automate their organizations and processes. We must work together to engage with the general public to change misconceptions of manufacturing and drive awareness to new solutions such as digitization, automation, and robotics.

9:45AM – 10:45AM: MORNING EXPERT PANEL: Feauturing Andrew Crowe, Jay Stahl, and Meaghan Ziemba, Moderated by Jake Hall
“Infusing Innovation into MFG”
  • At its core, innovation means ‘new’. However, when teams are asked to bring innovation into their everyday, this ‘simple’ request can add layers of complexity. Join Jake Hall as he moderates a panel discussion on Infusing Innovation into MFG. From strategies to fire up your team or facility to how leaders can empower their workforce to think up more transformative solutions.

11:15AM – 12:00PM: LATE MORNING FEATURED SPEAKER: Ninveh Neuman – Digital & Marketing Transformation Leader, Accenture
“The Consumerism of Industrial”
  • For industrial, the customer journey has traditionally been a complex one, comprised of a variety of touchpoints and channels. Our consumer experiences, accelerated through Covid, are creating heightened expectations for personalized, omnichannel, intuitive, empowered experiences in our personal and professional lives. This topic will cover the key change drivers industrial companies should be focused on to serve the rising demand of customer expectations and engage the future workforce.
12:00PM – 1:30PM: LUNCH (Provided)
1:30PM – 2:00PM: AFTERNOON FEATURED SPEAKER: AJ Jorgenson – Vice President of Strategic Engagement and Inclusion, The Manufacturing Institute
“The Changing Face of the Manufacturing Workforce”
  • Manufacturers continue to face the skills gap crisis, with more than 2 million jobs expected to go unfilled through 2030. To close that gap, manufacturers need to access the widest talent pool available. Learn how The Manufacturing Institute is supporting efforts to build diverse and inclusive workplaces, and best practices the manufacturers are implementing to strengthen equal opportunity in the United States.

2:15PM – 3:15PM: AFTERNOON EXPERT PANEL: Featuring Angie Pettinger, Genalou Poage, and Tayte French Lutz, Moderated by Elise Ring
“Making Conscious the Unconscious Bias”
  • Women occupy only one-third of the manufacturing jobs in the US and of those, only 1 in 4 are leadership roles. As these numbers continue to increase, women are starting to see a place for themselves in manufacturing; but navigating this traditionally male-dominated field can sometimes feel like a lonely journey. Join CBT’s VP of Marketing, Elise Ring, as she moderates our dynamic panel of experts, and listen as they discuss some of the challenges they face in dealing with unconscious bias in the workplace, and their insights and strategies for overcoming this barrier.

3:30PM – 4:00PM: LATE AFTERNOON FEATURED SPEAKER: Gina Ayala Claxton – Americas President, Rockwell Automation
“Leading Through Industry Disruption: The Unique Opportunities for Women Leaders to Accelerate the Promise of IT/OT Convergence”
  • The past two years have exposed critical setbacks for women in the workplace – specifically in areas of career progression and burnout. However, women leaders have also proven that we are stepping into new spaces in ways that are yielding even greater business and societal impact. In this keynote, Gina Claxton will connect the current state of the workplace experience for women, to the industry inflection point of IT/OT convergence. Drawing from data, industry examples, and her own experiences, Gina will outline ways that women are playing a key role in accelerating digital transformation within the manufacturing industry. She will also offer lessons learned for women of all levels, roles, and career aspirations as we navigate the tremendous challenges and opportunities that this moment brings.
