Description

Brand Name

Mersen

Type

Adder Miniature Open Style

Description

The next generation power distribution block (PDB). Mersen power distribution blocks provide a safe and easy method of splicing cables, splitting primary power into secondary circuits and fulfilling requirements for fixed junction tap-off points. Unless noted otherwise, all blocks are UL and CSA approved while meeting spacing requirements for feeder and branch circuits in conjunction with UL 508 A and the national electric code. PDB options include single or dual conductor primary inputs and up to 30 secondary outputs. Specialty blocks are available allowing for up to 7 primary inputs.
Mersen Power Distribution Block, Adder Miniature Open Style, Series: MPDB, 600 VAC, 85 A, 1 Primary Connections/Pole, 4 Secondary Connection/Pole, 14 to 4 AWG Wire, 100 kA Short Circuit, Polycarbonate, Black, 0.93 in W x 3.08 in D x 2.81 in H Dimensions

Application

Cable Splicing, Splitting Primary Power into Secondary Circuits, Fixed Junction and Tap-Off Point Applications

Standards

RoHS Compliant | UL File No. E352417 | CSA Class 6228-01, File No. 069363_0_000 | CE Marked | UL94-V0 Flammability

Features

  • Aluminum connectors accept both aluminum or copper wire while copper connectors accept copper wire only and all 1-piece tin plated
  • Connectors are all 1-piece tin-plated
  • Insulators are virtually unbreakable, made of glass-filled polycarbonate
  • See-through, hinged safety covers provide a greater degree of safety and shock resistance where required
  • Hinged covers can be installed without tools
  • 1 in through air and 2 in over surface between uninsulated live parts of opposite polarity meets requirements for feeder and branch circuit applications of UL508A
  • Polycarbonate safety covers provide dead-front protection
  • One cover is needed for each pole
  • Each cover has a test probe hole in the center for circuit checking
  • Adder poles for increased flexibility and ease-of-use
  • Adder poles can be stacked to form multi-pole units in the field without the use of tools
  • Adder poles allow for customization of primary and secondary wire combinations
  • 14 to 4 AWG Cu line/load
