Ruland hygienic clamping assemblies are a patented design that protects equipment from bacterial contaminant transfer from the integral collar to the system. Standard shaft collars have hot spots such as screw pockets, surface imperfections, and saw cuts where bacteria can become trapped. These hot spots are challenging to clean even with chemicals or high pressure wash downs. This hygienic clamping assembly has a 303 stainless collar that is sheathed in an IP69K rated housing to provide a smooth uninterrupted surface for easy cleaning. It has a 0.5000" bore, 1.575" OD, and 0.650" width. The housing is made from FDA compliant materials combined with o-rings with NSF H1 registered lubricant to prevent contaminants from entering or exiting the assembly. It is RoHS and REACH compliant. The shaft collar and housing in this hygienic assembly are made from bar stock sourced exclusively from North American mills and manufactured in Ruland's Marlborough, Massachusetts factory under strict controls using proprietary processes for superior fit, finish, and holding power. The lubricant and o-rings are sourced from carefully selected suppliers to ensure the total performance of the product meets Ruland's exacting standards.
